This site is the official National Park Service website of the Brown v. Board of Education National Historic Site. It is a great source of historical information about the ruling, and has information about Monroe Elementary School in Topeka, Kansas, which was one of the segregated schools African American plaintiffs in the case were forced to attend after being refused admission to schools for whites in their neighborhoods. There are resources for teachers and students, as well as information for visiting Monroe Elementary, which in now a museum.
